- Online grocer Farmstead is partnering with DoorDash (NYSE:DASH) to provide one-hour delivery in all markets where the online grocery retailer currently operates or intends to provide service.
- Farmstead describes itself as providing grocery shopping online in as little as five minutes a week, with customers never paying delivery fees or markup prices.
- By the end of this year, Farmstead intends to establish service in Nashville, Miami and at least 13 other cities.
- Customers can place orders with Farmstead using DoorDash's app and website in all of those locations in addition to its first market in the San Francisco Bay Area and its existing markets of Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham.
- Farmstead is backed by venture capitalists. For its part, DoorDash still trades more than 40% over where its IPO was priced.
