Splunk appoints Gary Steele as CEO

Splunk (NASDAQ:SPLK) appointed Gary Steele as CEO and as a member of the board, effective Apr. 1.
Steele is an experienced technology industry executive who has served as founding CEO of Proofpoint since 2002.
Graham Smith, who served as interim CEO since Nov. 2021, will return to his role as chair of board when Steele joins the company.
