Kroger expands network to Austin and San Antonio, TX and Birmingham,

• America's largest grocery retailer, The Kroger (KR +1.7%) will offer more Americans delivery through the addition of spoke facilities in Austin and San Antonio, TX and Birmingham, AL powered by the Kroger Fulfillment Network and Ocado Group (OTCPK:OCDGF).
• "Kroger today looks very different than it did in 1883 when we opened our first store. But the core principles that made that store successful – service, selection, value, and our commitment to our customers – remain the bedrock of our business," said Rodney McMullen, chairman and CEO.

I find this odd. Austin and San Antonio are dominated by HEB for groceries, so why the have Kroger hub here in Texas?

This is peak Kroger. Their jacking prices under the tired ruberic of "inflation" will cause Mkt share losses.
Plenty of competition very leveraged and able to gain Mkt share as customers learn Kroger has become less price compitive. I'm in their core Dallas Mkt Aldi and the rest are game to gain Mkt share easily.
