- Fresh off some billion-eyeball success, Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) is planning a spin-off of the its series Stranger Things, as part of a lucrative deal with show creators the Duffer Brothers.
- Matt and Ross Duffer have delivered one of Netflix's (NFLX) most-enduring successes. Now, their nine-figure deal with the streamer has resulted in their new label, Upside Down Pictures, under which they will deliver the spinoff as well as a stage play set in the Stranger Things world.
- Upside Down is also working on a series adaptation of The Talisman, the novel by Stephen King and Peter Straub; a live-action version of anime hit Death Note; and an original series coming from the creators of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
- That's all in addition to the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The just-finished fourth season has resulted in record viewing for Netflix (NFLX).

9 figure deal for Duffer Bros? Good thing Reid and Ted don’t have a Board to report to.

Right, it would have made more sense to throw in 456 songs from 2010-2020 for a series based in 1980.Btw, Stranger Things is mainly for young people. Lots of fans weren't even born until the 90s or 2000s.
