KKR names Katie Sudol from Simpson Thacher as general counsel
- KKR (NYSE:KKR) has named Kathryn King Sudol to succeed David Sorkin as general counsel as of Sept. 6, 2022, when Sorkin will become chief legal officer.
- Sudol comes from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she is currently global co-head of Mergers and Acquisitions. While at the law firm, she has worked with KKR (KKR) and members of its senior team in the U.S. and internationally.
- At the end of Q1 2023, Sudol will become KKR's chief legal officer and Sorkin will become an advisory partner to KKR (KKR). Sorkin has served as general counsel since 2007.
- Last month, KKR (KKR) named former Citigroup vice chairman Raymond J. McGuire to its board.
