Clarivate names IHS Market exec as new boss as CEO Jerre Stead retires
- Clarivate (NYSE:CLVT) announced Monday that CEO and Executive Chair Jerre Stead is retiring from his chief executive role to spend time with family, effective Sep. 1, 2022, while he will continue as non-executive chair of the company's board.
- Jonathan Gear has been named as Clarivate's new CEO to succeed Stead and has joined already as Clarivate as CEO-elect and a member of the board of directors on July 11, 2022.
- Gear brings 23 years of executive leadership experience in technology, data and information services companies, most recently as Chief Financial Officer of IHS Markit.
