CME achieves 21% growth in Q2 international ADV
- CME (NASDAQ:CME) announced that it achieved quarterly international ADV of 6.3M contracts in Q2, up 21% Y/Y; volume was driven largely by growth in equity index products up 43%, Interest Rate products up 28%, Foreign Exchange products up 24%, and Equity Options up 44%.
- Globally, CME reported ADV of 23.1M contracts (+25% Y/Y) in Q2 led by Equity Index products, up 57%, as well as Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate products, both up 24%.
- In Q2, Europe, Middle East and Africa ADV touched 4.3M contracts, up 15% Y/Y led by strong performance in Equity Index products and Interest Rate products in the region, up 31% and 24% respectively.
- Asia Pacific stood at record 1.7M contracts in Q2, up 36% Y/Y driven by 70% growth in Equity Index products, 38% growth in Interest Rate products and 37% growth in Energy products in the region.
- Latin America ADV grew to 164K contracts, up 40% Q/Q; growth led by 59% growth in Equity Index products and 65% growth in Interest Rate products in the region.
- Canada ADV grew to 154,000 contracts in Q2 2022, up 20% Y/Y; driven by a strong performance in Equity Index and Interest Rate products, up 34% and 30% respectively, compared to the same period in 2021.
