BTRS Holdings jumps 13% on report of exploring potential sale

  • BTRS Holdings (NASDAQ:BTRS), the parent of business payments vendor Billtrust, soared 13% on a report that the company is exploring options, including a possible slae.
  • The company is working with an adviser as it considers its options, according to a Reuters report.
  • BTRS has a market cap of about $860 million. BTRS went public through a SPAC deal in January of last year and its shares have plunged almost 70% since then including a 24% drop this year.
  • BTRS has short interest of 6%.
  • BTRS is scheduled to report Q2 results on Aug. 9.
