Urban One to acquire four Houston radio stations from Cox Media

  • Urban One (NASDAQ:UONE) said it had signed an agreement with Cox Media Group to buy its Houston radio cluster to strengthen it business in the city.
  • Under the agreement, Urban One will acquire 93Q Country KKBQ-FM, classic rock station The Eagle 106.9 & 107.5 KHPT-FM and KGLK-FM, and Country Legends 97.1 KTHT-FM.
  • Urban One said it will divest stations to comply with Federal Communications Commission ownership regulations.
