Hard to understand selling MP when it beats and the forward PE is only 12.
YTD -15%? Gimme a break.
The only thing I can think of is sector rotation.
Everybody wants put cash behind neural network GPT businesses.
They will have to rotate back to MP at some point.

Long term holders will be rewarded.

So that’s 10 consecutive quarterly beats. On both top and bottom lines. I want to know how much more stock the Chinese have accumulated from previously announced 8%. I believe that the stock of this small cap company is being manipulated by those with the money and cyber skills to get it done. Given the position of MP, the completion of phase 2 ore processing, the investment in and progress of the magnet plant in Texas, the price of this stock just makes no sense at all.

@Investor since ‘73 I think there’s fear that EV drove growth, and EV’s of the future won’t need rare earths according to musk.

That is not a completely accurate assessment. Non-neodymium derived magnets have been utilized in induction motors for a long time. In some applications they are fine. But until someone actually implements EV motors of equivalent performance I’ll remain cautiously skeptical that NdPr magnets are going to disappear from EV motor applications.

Additionally, there are myriad magnet applications where NdPr constructs are likely to reign supreme for a very long time. These include wind power generators, critical defense applications, hand-held electronic devices, medical devices, and others.

The demand for MP’s primary products is unlikely to appreciably abate, and actually should accelerate. In addition, MP will become a significant recycler and processor of heavy rare earths, including from qualified 3rd party sources.

Finally, these materials and processes can easily be seen to be critical national security matters, especially given China’s control of the vast majority of such materials currently.

In other words, the hype for MP is real, in my opinion. Also in my opinion, the current share price range represents a potentially excellent entry point for any investor new to the name who has a long term perspective, and for those of us already holding, a good opportunity to add via dollar cost averaging.

@Report risk Musk has learned (from our disgraced former acting president) that keeping himself in the daily news cycle is his brand. He says lots of things that never come to pass, other things that miss by decades (like the roadster) or 5 years (the cybertruck and semi). The price of MP stock had already been cut in half for absolutely no fathomable reason prior to his utterance about Tesla someday eliminating rare earths.

The Chinese are shrewd and cutthroat about business. They now enjoy total control of this market with a virtual monopoly and MP is crashing their party. They realize that they can’t stop the competition but it’s perfectly legal to buy it on the open market. Oddly enough, they would rather buy it for $20/share than $60. They are using their money, their massive military/government funded cyber army to manipulate the price down to accomplish their end game goals. It’s one of those things that you just know with certainty, even if you don’t have the resources to prove it in court. Yet.

MP down .7% after hours. The negativity around this stock is surreal.

I’m a fan of this company and I own it and will continue to do so, but beat for a very low expectations. But that’s also true for many of the companies that have reported thus far. Still expect it to return to $30/share as soon as debt limit is raise. Cheers 🥂
