Contrary to popular belief, the iPad (AAPL) isn’t seriously cannibalizing computer sales, according to NPD Group. Only 13% of those surveyed bought an iPad instead of a PC, while 24% replaced a planned e-reader purchase, suggesting that it is more a threat to the Kindle (AMZN) than to Dell (DELL) or Hewlett-Packard (HPQ).
