Even as robo-signing scandals and nationwide investigations augur a (temporary?) slowdown in foreclosures, the number of seized properties continues to climb. A RealtyTrac report shows a total of 288,345 properties were foreclosed upon in Q3, up from nearly 270,000 in Q2 and the highest quarterly tally since real estate started to tank in 2006.
