James River Coal (JRCC) posts a Q4 revenue miss on higher costs, and says it will acquire International Resource Partners for $475M. Analysts take a favorable view, noting JRCC is basically doubling its size and significantly expanding its met coal presence, all at a very reasonable valuation. JRCC +11.4%.
