The FDA approved the first new drug for lupus in over fifty years, a victory for Human Genome Sciences (HGSI +4.6%) and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK +1.1%), the drug's co-marketers. The bioengineered drug, called Benlysta, is expected to be a blockbuster with $1B+ of annual sales.
