Libya's oil production fell below 400K bpd after foreign firms shut down operations, says Shokri Ghanem, chairman of Libya’s state-run National Oil Corp. Unless those employees are sent back to work, he adds, Libya may be forced to award new oil and gas concessions directly to companies in countries like China, India and Brazil in order to boost production.
