As many economists slink back to their desks with egg on their faces after too-optimistic jobs projections, ECRI's Lakshman Achuthan was on CNBC yesterday saying the global industrial slowdown will be sustained, held back by high structural unemployment. He sees the stock rally of recent days as "your proverbial dead-cat bounce."
