Infonetics estimates global mobile data services revenue rose 13% in 2010, to $64.6B. However, overall average revenue per user (ARPU) continued to decline, due to declining voice rates. Carrier voice revenue could be further pressured in coming years as mobile voice-over-IP technology is deployed in tandem with 4G network rollouts.
