Fewer U.S. banks continued to ease their business lending standards during Q3, compared with a broader trend of such easing in previous quarters, according to the Fed's senior loan officer survey of 51 domestic banks and 22 U.S. branches of foreign banks. The survey also showed that U.S. banks tightened standards on loans to European banks.
