From a post I made on the Contrarian Investor Board this morning and reposted on SA in the comments section of the DQ earnings release thread.
DQ had a very constructive week last week. Finished the week closing a tiny bit over 55 which I am sure made the new owners of 2 million shares very happy.
It opened nicely this morning and already traded over 56. There are no more 55 dollar shares available. The Over-Allotment period is over now and the Secondary has ended. If someone wants shares they have to come to the same market place with everyone else which sets the stage for a possible boil-up at some point in the next couple of weeks. DQ has a history of doing just that, having a day when someone wants a big position and has to pay up.
Even with the secondary there are only around 13 million shares outstanding, much of it with institutions, so there isn't the float available for big trades without moving the price. If DQ has some investor road shows this year and attracts some new analysts within the Semi industry, goals that are simply common sense objectives, then that kind of sponsorship can go a long way to improving visibility and trading volume. $DQ
