The Busted IPO Forum founded by Bret Jensen, is a hypothetical $150K portfolio built of stocks that have been public for 18 months to five years that are significantly under their offering price. Many times after the initial analyst hyperbole has died and lockups have expired, these same companies can be had for .30 to .50 cents on the dollar from when the shares went public. As lucrative as this niche has been for Bret's portfolio over the years, a service or newsletter has not existed that covered this segment of the market -- until now! The goal in creating the Busted IPO Forum is to build a portfolio of 15-20 small cap and mid cap busted IPOs which consistently outperform the Russell 2000 over time.

Specializing in profiling high beta sectors, Bret Jensen founded and also manages The Biotech Forum, The Insiders Forum, and the Busted IPO Forum model portfolios. Finding “gems” in the biotech and small-cap stock sectors, these highly volatile spaces proven hugely successful have empowered Bret Jensen's own investing portfolio.

I currently help students understand fundamental analysis of equities and how to explore the use of Bloomberg terminals for doing meaningful research. Recently I've been covering cryptocurrencies more because the field is exciting and not well researched. I've slowed my writing on stocks due to the nature of my investment process. I look at earnings transcripts, do ratio analysis and sentiment analysis, and look at price action before I buy. These are often not enough to fill a detailed article like the ones I was writing and I would rather not publish weak pieces. I still hope to give my insights on equities occasionally (likely through blog posts), but will be moving to cover the CryptoSphere more. If you're interested in cryptocurrencies, even just to learn more, I hope you'll stick around!
My trading experience includes over twenty five years of intense investment analysis, trend analysis and deep level due diligence studies. My interest is to find small company opportunities that have established funding sources, have a plan of action and are in the preliminary to first stages of pipeline development and execution. My coverage and investment interest includes biotech, small cap and emerging growth companies, regardless of sector. I am a contributing writer at CNA Finance and cover emerging opportunities as well as breaking news events.

I am a market enthusiast and part-time trader. I started writing for Seeking Alpha in 2011, and it has been a tremendous opportunity and learning experience.
