I manage the capital of only a handful of families and I see it as my number one job to protect their financial security. They don’t pay me to sell them investment products, beat an index, abandon true investing for mindless diversification or follow the Wall Street lemmings down the primrose path. I manage their money exactly as I manage my own so I don’t take any risk at all unless I strongly believe it is worth taking. Blogging here on SA is part of my research. I write to find out what I think. I invite you to join the family of satisfied clients send an e-mail :email@example.com

Wanting more freedom, I decided to focus on managing my own portfolio and investments.
My investing style focuses on value; buying good companies well below fair value or finding mispriced securities with a lot more upside than downside. This approach is a disciplined one with a long-term focus. I am opportunistic and focus on areas of the market where recent volatility or apathy may create opportunity.

Institutional investment manager authoring on a variety of topics that pique my interest, and could further discourse in this online community. I hold an MBA from the University of Chicago, and have earned the CFA designation.
My articles may contain statements and projections that are forward-looking in nature, and therefore inherently subject to numerous risks, uncertainties and assumptions. While my articles focus on generating long-term risk-adjusted returns, investment decisions necessarily involve the risk of loss of principal. Individual investor circumstances vary significantly, and information gleaned from my articles should be applied to your own unique investment situation, objectives, risk tolerance, and investment horizon.
I am a graduate of the U.S Army Ranger school and a former member of the 1st Ranger Battalion and The Old Guard (U.S Army Honor Guard.) I am a retired law enforcement officer. I have approximately 16 years experience as a retail investor. I focus on value stocks, preferably with a long history of dividend growth. I occasionally write on the special situation trade and on any stock with a compelling story. I trade with 10% of my portfolio as I find trading keeps me on the market's pulse. Best of luck in your investments, Chuck
Peter Way Associates provides daily updated, near-term price range forecasts for over 2,000 widely-held and actively-traded stocks, ETFs and market Indexes.__
These are derived from the way market professionals protect their own capital placed at risk while helping big-money portfolio managers adjust their holdings in multi-million-dollar "block" transactions.__
Having these price-change prospects available on a continuous basis encourages individual investors to actively and economically build up the values of their own smaller portfolios. PWA only provides information for individual investors; it no longer manages investments for others.__
Rates of portfolio capital growth being achieved by subscribers are at MULTIPLES of the growth in market averages, due to the efficient use of holding period time and the compounding of gains a number of times each year.__
Risks of capital loss are protected against by insightful selection guidance and holding-period-limit disciplines. The advantages of good selection and careful timing amply cover a much smaller portion of unavoidable losses.__
These Market-maker forecasts have several decades of demonstrated productivity. Earlier in the 20th century they were used by large institutional portfolios, and now in the 21st century they are available only to individual investor wealth-building portfolios. Thousands of day-by-day identifications of specific securities having consistent, odds-on profitable results rule out any likelihood of their exceptional outcomes being due to chance. These price forecasts cannot be found elsewhere.__

The Investment Strategist was initially started to guide DIY investors on Seeking Alpha to take a more strategic approach to investing than purely individual stock selection. My philosophy is that portfolio management is similar to cooking a gourmet meal, where the combination of ingredients, in their respective proportions, is better than an abundance of any one ingredient (or stock).
After years of evaluating portfolios, it was evident that many investors put together a smorgasbord of ideas without regard to how they fit together or move together, creating very inefficient and risky portfolios. In addition, most US investors are guilty of familiarity bias, and their portfolios are primarily invested in well-known stocks of US companies, while international equities and more obscure asset classes, like emerging market debt, remain absent from portfolios. T
While the Investment Strategist does provide individual stock ideas to cater to the Seeking Alpha reader, I try to put the ideas into context so that readers can invest using a broader perspective on how an individual stock fits into their portfolio.
My RIA offers wealth advisory services to UHNW investors, Aspiring HNW investors, Small Business Owners, and PreRetirees. Ray Dalio is the Chairman and co-Chief Investment Officer of Bridgewater Associates, which is a global macro investment firm and is the world’s largest hedge fund. He is known to have a very practical understanding of economics that is very different from conventional economic thinking and that he spelled out in "How the Economic Machine Works".
He started Bridgewater in 1975 out of a two bedroom apartment in New York City and has been a global macro investor for more than 45 years.
While at Bridgewater his industry-changing approaches to investing -- which include the invention of risk parity, currency overlay, portable alpha and global inflation indexed bond management -- prompted Alternative Investment CIO to write an article entitled “Is Ray Dalio the Steve Jobs of Investing?”, which compared his industry-changing inventions to those of the Apple founder. According to an industry study, Bridgewater's hedge fund has made more money for its investors than any other hedge fund ever -- an estimated $37 billion. Bridgewater Associates has received numerous awards, including over twenty “Manager of the Year” awards from every major financial publication, and Ray has received three “Lifetime Achievement” awards. Additionally, a long list of economic policy makers actively seek his advice, which prompted Time Magazine in 2012 to name him “One of the 100 Most Influential People in the World”.
Ray is an active philanthropist with a particular interest in oceanographic research and conservation. He is a participant in The Giving Pledge, a commitment to give more than half of his wealth to charity.
Ray believes that reality works like a machine and that principles for dealing with reality are required to be successful. For those who are interested in learning the principles that led to Ray's success, he set them out in Principles.org which focuses on management principles and EconomicPrinciples.org which describes the principles of the economic machine.

I focus on investments in the renewable energy, oil & gas, and MLP sectors with an eye for dividend income growth and long-term capital appreciation. I am an engineer, not a qualified investment advisor. While the information and data presented in my articles are obtained from company documents and/or sources believed to be reliable, they have not been independently verified. I explicitly disclaim any liability that may arise from investment decisions you make based on my articles. Thanks for reading and I wish you much investment success.
I am a buy-side analyst for various private wealth managers, institutional and accredited investors. My goal for articles on Seeking Alpha is to bring exposure to business development companies (BDCs) that finance small to medium sized businesses, typically overlooked by banks. BDCs are an instrument for investors to earn healthy dividends by avoiding double taxation at the corporate level and allowing income to flow directly to shareholders. Please see website link below for more information.

My name is Mike McNeil and I’m the author of The Dividend Guy Blog & The Dividend Monk along with the owner and portfolio manager here at Dividend Stocks Rock (DSR). I also have a service on Seeking Alpha's Marketplace called Dividend Growth Rocks, aimed at investors who are interested in both income and capital growth from dividend stocks. I earned my bachelor degree in finance-marketing, own a CFP title along with an MBA in financial services. Besides being a passionate investor, I’m also happily married with three beautiful children. I started my online venture to educate people about investing and to be able to spend more time with my family.
I started my career in the financial industry back in 2003. I earned several promotions along with a good pile of diplomas. I had lots of fun working with clients in private banking for half a decade, but thought I could do more with my life.
In 2016, I decided to take a leap of faith and left everything behind to travel across North America and Central America with my family. We drove through nine countries and stayed three months in Costa Rica before returning home. This was an eye-opening adventure that led me in 2017 to quit my job in the financial industry and pursue my dream; helping others with their personal finance through my investing websites.
You just found the reason why I quit my suit & tie job!
