I studied Finance and Computer Engineering, and work for a large semiconductor company. I consider trading to be a hobby of mine, and particularly love trading stock options. I've had some big wins and some big losses. I assume my wins were due mostly to luck, and the losses were because I was stupid and greedy. I am constantly trying to mitigate my stupidity and greed by learning from my past mistakes and from those with superior knowledge and experience (i.e. all of the excellent SA contributors I'm following). My father always told me, "Diversification ensures mediocrity." With that in mind, I am not averse to making relatively large bets when I see an opportunity.
Retired Fire Lieutenant since 2015 with some knowledge about investing. Reading quite a bit here at SA and researching at many web sites, I have been able to stay well ahead of the game.
Thank you to the many very smart individuals that write very informative articles, comments and rebuttals. Without you, my portfolio would not be where it is.
