I'm an Army veteran and former energy dividend writer for The Motley Fool. My goal is to help all people learn how to harness the awesome power of dividend growth investing to achieve their financial dreams, and enrich their lives. With 22 years of investing experience, I've learned what works and more importantly, what doesn't, when it comes to building long-term wealth and income streams. I'm currently on an epic quest to build a broadly diversified, high-quality, high-yield dividend growth portfolio that:
1. Pays 5% to 6% yield
2. Offers 6% to 7% annual dividend growth
3. Pays dividends AT LEAST on a weekly, but preferably, daily basis

Hello friends! I am a former wealth manager with over 25 years of experience working for a major investment banking firm. I retired in 2013. My eyes have witnessed the good, the bad, and the ugly of the financial world. These days, I spend my days watching the markets, managing my retirement portfolios, and focus on increasing the income of my accounts. I am on Seeking Alpha with the purpose of using my former career experience plus my day-to-day portfolio management to educate others. Specifically, INCOME investing for and while in retirement. For me, it is all about collecting INCOME now. I try to ignore the "what ifs" and the "waiting until it goes to..." because retirees want and many times need INCOME now. Stocks go up and down and all around, but the income you collect is yours. It is yours to keep, to spend, to pay bills , to save, to gift, etc. It is about the INCOME and I use my double income strategy to collect as much income as I can.
My hope on here is to inform others and possibly make a few friends during my time on here. Ive read some wonderful articles on here and hope I can meet and exceed the high standard of content that other contributors have provided on Seeking Alpha. I do not give investment advice anymore. I will share my thoughts and my opinions in a "straight talk way" about stocks I own or want to own or want to sell and the covered call options.
Aside from the financial world, spending time my best friend and longtime spouse and my young chocolate lab, are the best things in my life.
The Busted IPO Forum founded by Bret Jensen, is a hypothetical $150K portfolio built of stocks that have been public for 18 months to five years that are significantly under their offering price. Many times after the initial analyst hyperbole has died and lockups have expired, these same companies can be had for .30 to .50 cents on the dollar from when the shares went public. As lucrative as this niche has been for Bret's portfolio over the years, a service or newsletter has not existed that covered this segment of the market -- until now! The goal in creating the Busted IPO Forum is to build a portfolio of 15-20 small cap and mid cap busted IPOs which consistently outperform the Russell 2000 over time.
• • •
Specializing in profiling high beta sectors, Bret Jensen founded and also manages The Biotech Forum, The Insiders Forum, and the Busted IPO Forum model portfolios. Finding “gems” in the biotech and small-cap stock sectors, these highly volatile spaces proven hugely successful have empowered Bret Jensen's own investing portfolio.

I am an individual investor and focus on investing in dividend-paying and dividend-growing stocks with a long-term horizon. In addition to a DGI portfolio, I manage and invest in a couple of high-income portfolios as well as some Risk-adjusted Rotation Strategies. I believe "Passive Income" is what makes you 'Financially Free'. My personal goal is to generate at least 50% of my retirement income from dividends and rest from other investments like real-estate (rental) etc. I have been investing for the last 25 years and consider myself an experienced investor. I plan to share my experiences by way of writing two or three articles a month and also share my portfolio strategy.
I am currently long on ABT, ABBV, JNJ, PFE, NVS, NVO, CL, CLX, GIS, UL, NSRGY, PG, MON, ADM, MO, PM, KO, DEO, MCD, WMT, WBA, CVS, LOW, CSCO, MSFT, INTC, T, VZ, VTR, CVX, XOM, VLO, HCP, O, OHI, NNN, STAG, WPC, MAIN, NLY, ARCC, PCI, PDI, PFF, RFI, RNP, UTF, EVT, FFC, HQH, KYN, NMZ, NBB, JPS, JRI, TLT.
I joined Seeking Alpha in 2016 as its designated Dividends & Income editor. Previously, I was a deputy managing editor and before that a copy editor at TheStreet for 10 years, and an assistant editor at the Washington City Paper and managing editor at LATINA Style magazine. I have a BA in English from Amherst College and an MFA in fiction writing from NYU. I live outside of Boston with my husband, two small children and two large cats.
Investor/Trader in biotech and tech sectors for 10 years. Founder & Editor of ROTY (Runners of the Year), a strategy and now Marketplace Service focused on discovering opportunities to achieve high % gains within a year´s time frame.
Importantly, I often highlight risk management and entry/exit strategies, as I believe they represent areas that are often neglected but materially important for readers to understand and apply if they want to be profitable long term.

I am a 41 year old investor with a long term perspective and a lot of patience. I mainly think about the future when investing in stocks. I do not care about what my selection of stocks will do next year, but what the result will be in 2040 or so. To paraphrase Warren Buffett: "You should only have stocks that you would feel comfortable having if the stock market closed up for 10 years." That means that I look for stocks that have either growth or value or combine the two. It has been proven that the group of dividend initiators and fastest dividend growers outperforms the markets by far in the long run. So I mainly select stocks from this group, although I also select high growth non-dividend payers that I believe will grow out to great multibagger. Hence: from Growth to Value. I appreciate your comments, because I believe I can learn a lot from your feedback and I believe in the wisdom of crowds.

Roger Conrad needs no introduction to individual and professional investors, many of whom have profited from his decades of experience uncovering the best dividend-paying stocks for accumulating sustainable wealth.
Roger Conrad founded and ran the Utility Forecaster and Canadian Edge newsletters before leaving to form his own publishing company, Capitalist Times (www.CapitalistTimes.com). During his almost 30-year tenure at Utility Forecaster, Hulbert Financial Digest routinely ranked the publication as one of the best investment newsletters.
His new publication, Conrad’s Utility Investor (www.ConradsUtilityInvestor.com), continues his in-depth coverage and analysis of more than 200 essential-services stocks, primarily utilities and telecoms. Roger Conrad is also an expert on master limited partnerships (MLP) and the Canadian energy sector, which he covers for Energy & Income Advisor (www.EnergyAndIncomeAdvisor.com).
He’s also an independent trustee of Miller/Howard High Income Equity Fund and the author of Power Hungry: Strategic Investing in Telecommunications, Utilities and Other Essential Services. Although he spends a good deal of time in front of a Bloomberg terminal or reading 10-K and 10-Q reports, he’s also an avid outdoorsman and baseball fan.
The masthead may have changed, but readers can count on Roger to deliver the same high-quality analysis and rational assessment of the best dividend-paying utilities, MLPs and dividend-paying Canadian energy names.
Our mission is to provide investors with the most accurate and independently created research information available, in any format they choose, and teach them how to use it effectively to help meet their financial objectives.

I am a retired clinical psychologist, and administrator and owner of a rehabilitation clinic we founded 40 years ago. For over 55 years I have managed several portfolios composed of investments accumulated over our professional careers. Since the financial crisis of 2008, I have employed specialized, customized dividend growth strategies aimed at enhancing and growing a dividend income stream.
Since December 24, 2014, I have demonstrated on Seeking Alpha the ongoing construction and portfolio management of the Fill-The-Gap Portfolio aimed at highlighting strategies investors may utilize to close the gap between an average Social Security benefit and the much greater costs faced in retirement.
This portfolio has outperformed all of the broad market indexes by a very wide margin, growing dividend income and total portfolio value consistently while the broader indexes struggle in negative territory all year.
Let me show you how to build and grow your portfolio and dividend income, step by step, towards a comfortable and secure retirement.
