My name is Chandra Coomaraswamy. Americans, please note: I am a guy, not a goil! Chandra is an Indian name. It's not gender-specific as it seems to have become in the US. I am an ex-Chartered Accountant (UK CPA equivalent) and Management Consultant. An Apple customer since the Apple II circa 1978. A Mac user since the first one (1984). An AAPL investor since 2007. I've lived in England most of my life. Currently living in Malaysia, where I was born en route to permanent home in France. I am well versed in traditional investment metrics and savvy with my accounting background bias. I try to learn non-accountant ways of investment thinking however! I firmly believe that traditional thinking is insufficient when applied to many companies operating today in Tech, Engineering and science-based activities like Bio-Tech. New compound metrics are needed such as weighted P/Es and the like. I like to use software like i See (Stella) to understand corporate dynamics between competing orgs and in comparing them against sector norms. The numbers alone are not enough any longer, especially for going long on a position. I believe that the investment market is so deeply corrupt that it needs to be dismantled and rebuilt in a robust, open/transparent and accountable model.
