Established in 1988, The Howard Group is a Corporate Communication and Capital Markets firm. We look at a lot of micro and small-cap companies but choose to align ourselves with a select few. We focus on trading strategies that have historically given traders a significant edge when it comes to investing in the stock market.
We have worked under and have been trained by some of the top investors of the past 25 years including WILLIAM O’NEIL(bestselling author and founder of investors business daily) AND LARRY CONNORS (best selling author of Street Smarts and founder of Tradingmarkets)
Through those services and our own we have helped educate and train thousands of professional and retail investors around the world including hedge fund and money managers, investment advisors, brokers and head traders.
Our service focuses on stocks setting up with a high probability for a big move to the upside over the next 2-10 days.
This service can be used to initiate a new position or for our larger institutional and individual investors it provides a great place to add to an existing position
Because these stocks are setting up for a decent size move over the next few days, many traders like to use these setups for short term trades.
BETTER STOCK ENTRIES
Most other services out there will say to buy a stock after it has made it’s big run or when ot is in a painful downtrend. Our Proprietary screens filter through the stock universe and signal us when the stock is setting up to have a potentially powerful move over the next couple of days.

When looking for situations to invest, I primarily focus on stocks that have demonstrated consistent revenue, cash flow, book value, and earnings growth of 20% or higher; and show significant potential for continued growth due to industry trends, internal product innovation, and highly skilled/competent management.
Spent over 30 years in computer systems work, many different functions. Owned my own business for awhile. Got tired of it (managing employees is not my baliwick) and stopped doing it professionally. Did other things, off and on, for some more years and finally bumped into this investing/trading stuff. "Looks like a challenge" said I and jumped in (I've found I'm happiest learning new things and overcoming challenges - this certainly qualifies as a challenge).
Still on the steep side of the learning curve, but with facilities like Seeking Alpha, internet availability of all sorts of information and dedication, I'm beginning to improve my performance.
As part of that learning, I've recently been working on learning technical analysis of charts.
I Have been using covered call options for a while and had good success with that, so I'm currently studying and playing with small positions using other option strategies.
Being interested in a lot of different things, I had a desire to check out natural gas, due to its environmental and potential cost benefits. Fortunately, before I dabbled in it, I had already learned to not trade on emotion and had started getting familiar with how I might more effectively use technical analysis of charts. My first foray into NG, using UNG, I made a small return in a short time, thanks to the charts.
As time goes on, I'm discovering additional resources. It looks like I might enjoy doing this for a long time.
Because of my background, I guess, I'm a big believer in "community knowledge". That is what any one of us knows is available to all the community members, except for those that need a serious "attitude adjustment".
I enjoy learning from all and sharing what I may have to contribute.

Tim Boyd (a.k.a. "wojtyla4") joined MKM Partners in December 2009 as an analyst covering the Internet sector. Prior to MKM, Mr. Boyd covered Internet stocks for both Broadpoint. AmTech and Caris & Company. He began his career on Wall Street in 2001 as a derivatives trader for Bridgewater Associates. Mr. Boyd graduated magna cum laude from Connecticut College with degrees in Philosophy and The Classics. He was a three-time All-American in Men’s Lacrosse and was named Connecticut College Athlete of the Year for 2001.
For those who can't help but wonder, "wojtyla" refers to Pope John Paul II, whose given name was Karol Josef Wojtyla, The "4" refers to my college lacrosse number (the world can always use a little more pathetically nostalgic narcissism, don't you think?).
Tim re-joined AmTech in April 2007 to cover the Internet sector after spending the past two years covering Internet stocks at Caris & Company, a NYC-based research boutique. Tim had previously worked at AmTech as an associate analyst under veteran internet analyst, Mark Mahaney. Tim began his Wall Street career in 2001 as a derivatives trader at Bridgewater Associates, a Westport-based institutional hedge fund.
Tim graduated magna cum laude from Connecticut College with degrees in Philosophy and the Classics. He was a three-time All-American midfielder on the Camels’ lacrosse team, a center on the hockey team, and was named Connecticut College Athlete of the Year in 2001.
Scrooge had worked his way up the financial ladder from humble immigrant roots. Born in Glasgow, Scotland he made a living shining boots, and was enraged when a ditchdigger paid him with a US dime. However, the coin inspired him to take a position as cabin boy on a Clyde cattle ship to the United States to make his fortune. Scrooge is now the richest duck in the world, rivalled only by Flintheart Glomgold, John D. Rockerduck and, less prominent, the maharaja of the country Howdoyoustan.
He keeps a portion of his wealth, money he has personally earned himself, in a massive Money Bin overlooking the city of Duckburg. In the short Scrooge McDuck and Money, he remarks to his nephews that this money is "just petty cash". He regularly forces Donald and his nephews to polish the coins one by one in order to pay off Donald's debts — Scrooge will not even pay them much for this lengthily, tedious, hand-breaking work. As far as he is concerned, even 5 cents an hour is too much expenditure.
A shrewd businessman and noted tightwad, his hobbies include diving into his money like a porpoise, burrowing through it like a gopher, and throwing coins into the air to feel them fall upon his skull. He is also the richest member of The Billionaires Club of Duckburg, a society which includes the most successful businessmen of the world and allows them to keep connections with each other. Glomgold and Rockerduck are also influential members of the Club. His most famous prized possession is his Number One Dime.
Value of Scrooge in Barks' The Second Richest Duck'.The sum of Scrooge's wealth is disputed. According to Barks' The Second Richest Duck as noted by a TIME article, Scrooge is worth one multiplujillion, nine obsquatumatillion, six hundred twenty-three dollars and sixty-two cents. Don Rosa's the Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck notes that Scrooge amounts to five multiplujillion, nine impossibidillion, seven fantasticatrillion dollars and sixteen cents. In 2007, Forbes listed his wealth at a much more modest $28.8 billion. Barks himself has said that the fortune is five billion quintiplitilion unptuplatillion multuplatillion impossibidillion fantasticatrillion dollars. Whatever the amount, Scrooge never considers it enough: he has to continue to earn money by any means possible.
Scrooge is not formally educated, as he quit school at an early age. However, he has a sharp mind and is always ready to learn new skills. Because of his secondary occupation as a treasure hunter, Scrooge has become something of a scholar and an amateur archaeologist. Starting with Barks, several writers have explained how Scrooge becomes aware of the treasures he decides to pursue. This often involves periods of conducting research in various written sources in search of passages that might lead him to a treasure. Often Scrooge decides to search for the possible truth behind old legends, or discovers obscure references to the activities of ancient conquerors, explorers and military leaders that he considers interesting enough to begin a new treasure hunting expedition.
As a result of his research, Scrooge has collected an extensive personal library, which includes many rare written sources. In Barks's and Rosa's stories, among the prized pieces of this library is an almost complete collection of Spanish and Dutch naval logs of the 16th and 17th centuries. Their references to the fates of other ships have often allowed Scrooge to locate sunken ships and recover their treasures from their underwater graves. Mostly self-taught as he is, Scrooge is a firm believer in the saying "knowledge is power". Scrooge is also an accomplished polyglot, having learned to speak several different languages during his business trips around the world, selling fridges to eskimos, wind to windmill manufacturers in the Netherlands etc.
