I Try to be humble and honest about my due diligence when presenting it to the Seeking Alpha community. I attempt to write about what I know and for beginner to intermediate level investors with contrarian take-aways that seasoned vets may find insightful.
I am the founder and portfolio manager of Hypotenuse Capital Management, LLC, a private investment advisor based in Los Angeles. We manage Hypotenuse Capital Partners, LP, a private investment partnership that is open to U.S. accredited investors. Our strategy is fundamental value and we run a concentrated portfolio. Prieviously I was a partner at Royal Capital Management, LLC, a fundamental long/short equity manager in New York where I worked from 2006 until 2012. Prior to my time at Royal, I worked in private equity at Parthenon Capital in Boston and investment banking at Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc.
Andrew Walker, CFA, is a portfolio manager at Rangeley Capital LLC with a focus on small cap special situations investments. Mr. Walker also contributes to Sifting the World, a value investing forum.
After spending a dozen years making a big name for herself as a highly respected investigative reporter in the financial arena, Melissa Davis took a chance on her longtime dream in 2015 by becoming her own boss so that she could pour even more time and energy into uncovering the truth about suspicious public companies by conducting the deepest research of her award-winning career. At that point, Ms. Davis had already established herself as a fearless journalist with an impressive talent for exposing corporate fraud. Most recently, she served as the founding editor of TheStreetSweeper, a financial news website dedicated to warning investors about risky stocks that she essentially built from scratch. Under her leadership, TheStreetSweeper soon earned steady applause from some of the biggest names in the business and continued to flourish for years. Prior to launching that well-known website, Ms. Davis spent seven years on the staff of TheStreet.com -- an even more prominent financial outlet founded by "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer -- where she quickly rose to become one of the leading investigative reporters on a large and impressive editorial team. Already the recipient of numerous awards by the time that TheStreet.com hired her away from the largest newspaper in her home state, Ms. Davis went on to land a national prize for enterprise reporting from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) by the time that her tenure there came to an end. Today, she spends her days (and, when necessary, plenty of late nights) trying to do what she has always done the best even better: revealing the dirty secrets about publicly traded companies that investors desperately need -- and inherently deserve -- to know! (She also smothers her adorable granddaughter -- the other great love of her life -- with plenty of hugs and kisses at every available chance.)

I am a medical professional that enjoys investing in stocks. Recently I have changed my investment strategy and am now focused on technical analysis and in particular Elliott Wave Theory. I have found that my success with this method of investing is much more profitable than fundamental analysis. My medical background I believe has prepared me well for the use of technical analysis as much of the skill of diagnostics in medicine is based on pattern recognition.
I still have a particular interest in biotechs with an ophthalmic (eye) focus as that is where I have developed the greatest expertise over my career and research. I hope over time to share some of my professional insights with those of the Seeking Alpha community in order to help them make more informed investing decisions. I expect to learn a lot from others as well.

CFA, Alternative investment professional, equity bias but cap structure agnostic. I spent a year on the PHLX options exchange, and worked as an integral member of the investment committee of a medium sized L/S hedge fund in NY, as well as their head-trader, for 6 years.
My personal bias is towards special situations, and smaller cap names, . I use a value-investing orientation, though I try to marry actual catalysts and a top-down understanding to any thesis I present.
I enjoy analyzing the financial health of companies and pointing out areas the market is either not recognizing or ignoring. A long time investor, I put my money where my mouth is. That's why I'm passionate about my positions. I trumpet companies I believe in and back my articles up with data and graphs.
Founder of Disruptive Tech Research – a technology research and advisory firm serving the investment management community. We provide registered investment professionals and qualified firms with independent, targeted research to support the generation of investment ideas. We focus on patent-filing activity to identify the most promising disruptive technology trends early. Then, we employ an original, bottom-up fundamental research approach to uncover micro- and small-cap ideas that are underfollowed, underappreciated and undervalued. Our mission is to provide clients with differentiated, actionable and thorough fundamental research at a cost effective price. We’re 100% independent. That means absolutely no pay-to-play arrangements, no hidden agendas and no hype. Just solid research. And yes, we eat our own cooking.
Manage an investment management firm that focuses on under-followed or misunderstood stocks, especially in the small cap area. The firm has a strong focus on businesses with large & sustainable free cash flow yields, "Ft. Knox" balance sheets, and management teams motivated to drive shareholder value. From 2008 through 2015, the investment firm out-performed the S&P500 total return index by a significant margin, despite an average net cash position of close to 30% or more. We have also provided investment advice to some wealthy families and family offices. Email email@example.com, phone 310-426-2045.
I'm a professional financial investigative journalist who has written for the Greenwich Time, Hearst CT Newspapers, Forbes Magazine, Fortune.com, The Atlantic.com, New York Magazine, New York Post, Trader Monthly, Housingwire, ML-Implode, The Business Insider, Long Island Business News, Dealbreaker, New York Observer, Bitcoin Magazine, DealFlow Media and more. The Huffington Post named me the number three most dangerous financial journalist for being willing to challenge the establishment and inform readers best. I'm working on trade-marking "Smashmouth Journalism" --a logo Josh Brown invented for me!
In 2013 Frontline made a documentary film, called The Untouchables, about my reporting at The Atlantic on the Bear Stearns RMBS traders who stole billions from their own clients but have never been prosecuted for criminal wrong doing.
I was raised a Reagan Republican and believe in free markets but don't let me catch you abusing them or you'll end up in one of my stories.
