I've retired from a career in commercial Real Estate. Now I manage a conservative portfolio of blue chip equities. I target dividend-paying blue chips on sale. The majority of my articles will focus on what I know best (and what is under-covered on Seeking Alpha), Canadian mid and large caps. REITs are my focus, though I dabble in everything. Ranked 8th on Seeking Alpha for Services stocks!

I am an individual investor focused on biotech, technology, and natural resources. I am a law student and have spent several years researching the interaction between Indigenous rights and natural resource development in North America, Australia, and New Zealand. My writing on Seeking Alpha focuses primarily on the impact of social, legal, and political factors on the North American resource extraction sector.
I also occasionally write about undervalued biotech companies with significant potential to disrupt existing markets.
I primarily invest based on knowledge of technology, and rarely if ever try to time stocks.
The only way I've been effective investing is by understanding the technology behind the products a company sells, and the market they sell in, while being dispassionate and unbiased.

Investing has taught me many lessons and I have had a fair share of hard lessons so far! As I write, I reflect on my own actions and results, and with no intention of endorsing an investment. My best picks have been FSLR (approximately 55% return), SEDG (40%), PIR (80%), AMZN (60%), AAPL (40%), TSLA (40%) but most painful fails were GLF, HGG (both -60%) overall I do okay, but I am more shy about leveraged companies now and felt AMZN and APPL have been more about luck than skills. Currently, I have a great feeling about FSTR, LNR and DRTTF.
I appreciate the SA community that engages in meaningful discussions and encouragements. I hope to be learning from you all.
I am a dividend investor and look for undervalued investments in the stock market. I identify misunderstood and undervalued equity investments and hold those securities until their price approximates my estimate of intrinsic value. I am a long-term investor only.
I am building a $100,000 high-yield income portfolio. I am running this portfolio as an experiment to see if long-term sustainable income can be generated from a diversified pool of high-risk, high-yield securities. I am willing to accept high risk in order to meet my performance goals.
