I've been investing full time for over 20 years. I use a proprietary model based on a modified Graham, DCF & PE analysis. Results can be viewed at our website (address below). As a result of past investment decisions I was able to turn my attention to full time investing & research which has always been my passion. This site & website below are the best forums to share ideas and research. I've also developed financial analysis templates detailed on the IIEX website. I am not in the brokerage/finance industry & am not a professional at finance or any related field. I have a degree in engineering although I spent most of my career in management & very little doing engineering calculations. Website: https://www.iiex.club/

My name is Mike McNeil and I’m the author of The Dividend Guy Blog & The Dividend Monk along with the owner and portfolio manager here at Dividend Stocks Rock (DSR). I also have a service on Seeking Alpha's Marketplace called Dividend Growth Rocks, aimed at investors who are interested in both income and capital growth from dividend stocks. I earned my bachelor degree in finance-marketing, own a CFP title along with an MBA in financial services. Besides being a passionate investor, I’m also happily married with three beautiful children. I started my online venture to educate people about investing and to be able to spend more time with my family.
I started my career in the financial industry back in 2003. I earned several promotions along with a good pile of diplomas. I had lots of fun working with clients in private banking for half a decade, but thought I could do more with my life.
In 2016, I decided to take a leap of faith and left everything behind to travel across North America and Central America with my family. We drove through nine countries and stayed three months in Costa Rica before returning home. This was an eye-opening adventure that led me in 2017 to quit my job in the financial industry and pursue my dream; helping others with their personal finance through my investing websites.
You just found the reason why I quit my suit & tie job!

My goal is to design and manage a diversified portfolio that provides a growing, relatively safe dividend stream to supplement retirement income. The portfolio includes 30 individual equities and 7 ETFs. The average number of consecutive years of dividend increases is 26. Eight of the companies have S&P credit ratings of AA or higher. Fifteen are rated A+ or higher. Twenty-one are rated A- or higher. One company (WP Carey) is rated BBB. The other 29 are rated BBB+ or higher. I try to buy quality and maintain a long term perspective.

Value Investor, Mathematical Background, Event Driven.
While I have a strong mathematical background, it wasn't until I took classes in graduate-level Macro and Microeconomics that I finally realized my true interest in applied math. Even though I have studied technical analysis and mathematical application to investments and portfolio structure, value investing always derives from hard work. I believe vital connections can be made from math to economics to investments through deep research; anything from company filings, press releases, books, and scholarly journal articles apply. If we are able to connect our research to businesses and the economy, and then affix mathematical applications to specific valuation motifs and technical themes, then we can work toward finding productive investments.
I hope readers enjoy my analysis, can learn from it, use it, and even provide feedback to help me improve, as I always set out to develop better skills, more breadth of knowledge, and expertise in both economics and investments.

I am a market enthusiast and part-time trader. I started writing for Seeking Alpha in 2011, and it has been a tremendous opportunity and learning experience. I have been interested in the markets since elementary school, and hope to pursue a career in the investment management industry. I have been active in the markets for several years, and am primarily focused on long/short equities. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from Lehigh University, where I double majored in Finance and Accounting, with a minor in History. My major track focused on Investments and Financial Analysis. While at Lehigh, I was the Head Portfolio Manager of the Investment Management Group, a student group that manages three portfolios, one long/short and two long only. I have had two internships, one a summer internship at a large bank, and another helping to manage the Lehigh University Endowment for nearly a year.

Trader & portfolio manager, from 1975 - 2001. Former head of equity trading at Northern Trust Co. in Chicago. Now a private investor, founder of a nonprofit investor advocacy firm, and private investing coach. It gives me great satisfaction to teach small investors the same skills and strategies that I used with my high net worth clients as a private wealth manager. It may be a cliche, but giving something back to the community is more rewarding to me than helping very rich people get even richer.
