New orders of metalworking machinery in the U.S. slipped in May but remained well above year-ago levels, signaling ongoing recovery in the manufacturing sector despite economic uncertainty, according to the latest U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders report from the Association for Manufacturing Technology.
