Summary

  • As a specialized bond investor, AGNC has been seriously challenged by the current historically tough bond bear market.
  • AGNC has survived this challenge by active management of its interest rate and financial leverage risks.
  • I believe that the bond bear market is nearing its end. If so, AGNC's book value and assets should start rising.
  • In turn, the stock has a 45% or greater upside and the 18% dividend yield will be maintained.
