- Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) announces appointing General (Ret.) Keith Alexander to its board and the audit committee.
- Alexander is co-CEO of IronNet Cybersecurity.
- He served as Commander of U.S. Cyber Command from 2010 to 2014. Gen. Alexander was National Security Agency director and Central Security Service chief from 2005 to 2014.
- Alexander isn't the only Amazon board member with government ties. Jamie Gorelick, appointed in 2012, previously served as Deputy Attorney General of the United States, General Counsel of the Department of Defense, Assistant to the Secretary of Energy, and was a member of the National Commission on Terrorist Threats Upon the United States.
