Aurora Cannabis (NASDAQ:ACB) announced the delivery of a cannabis shipment valued at nearly C$8M to Israel, making it one of the largest cannabis shipments the country has received.
“The sale is a significant step in advancing the Company's international medical business, a key strategic priority for Aurora as a global cannabis company,” Aurora said in a statement.
“With leadership in Canada and Israel, Aurora is uniquely positioned to be a partner of choice in countries like Israel,” it added.
The company has a strategic supply agreement with Cantek Global to deliver a minimum of 4,000 kg of bulk dried flower to Israel annually.
"We look forward to continuing to provide high-quality cannabis to Israel, as part of our strategy to expand our medical cannabis portfolio in key international markets," Aurora CEO Miguel Martin said.
In June, Cantor Fitzgerald said that in the coming months, Canadian cannabis names will benefit from buildup of inventories and reopening of stores after lockdowns.
