Colgate-Palmolive (CL+0.8%) returned to positive growth for the first time since late 2020 amid the delta variant spike, while Clorox (CLX+1.5%) trends accelerated into the high single-digit range as growth in wipes was complemented some strength in some other areas. UBS analyst Peter Grom says Procter & Gamble (PG+0.5%) continues to deliver strong double-digit takeaway growth. Other notable were the 12.3% Y/Y four-week jump in sales for Central Garden & Pet (NASDAQ:CENT) and biting 14.4% drop in sales for Newell Brands (NASDAQ:NWL). In beauty, L'Oreal (OTCPK:LRLCF) saw sales increase 12.6% as more people went out, while e.l.f. Beauty (NYSE:ELF) recorded a 21.1% decline as some pandemic trends faded.
