Silvergate board member resigns to take executive role at another company

• Silvergate Capital (NYSE:SI) said Rebecca Rettig will resign from the boards of both the company and Silvergate Bank effective Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023.
• Rettig has accepted an executive position at another company and is resigning due to her new commitments, Silvergate (SI) said in a filing after the close Thursday.
• The company will start a search to fill the boards' vacancies.
• Her resignation wasn't the result of any dispute or disagreement with the company, the bank or the boards and any matters relating to operations, policies, or practices, the company said.
• According to media reports Rettig was named Polygon Labs' first chief policy officer.
• Earlier this month, Silvergate (SI) stock tumbled after reports that the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating the crypto-focused bank's business with collapsed crypto firms FTX and Alameda Research.
