The Competition and Markets Authority, the U.K.'s antitrust agency, said on Monday that it had terminated the extension of inquiry period into Adobe's (NASDAQ:ADBE) proposed $20B deal to acquire Figma.
In an update on its website, the CMA said it "is now satisfied for the purposes of section 39(8) of the Act that the information and documents required by the section 109 notice have been provided."
The four-day extension, which started on August 17, is now over and is added to the statutory deadline, with the reference period set to expire on December 31.
In May, the U.K.'s antitrust regulatory agency said it was probing the $20B deal on the basis that it would result "in a substantial lessening of competition within any market or markets in the United Kingdom for goods or services."
San Jose, California-based Adobe (ADBE) has repeatedly said it still expects the acquisition to close later this year.
Adobe (ADBE) shares rose nearly 1% in mid-day trading on Monday.
