Ameren downgraded to Sector Weight at KeyBanc Securities

• Ameren (NYSE:AEE) on Friday was downgraded to Sector Weight from a previous investment rating of Overweight by analysts at KeyBanc Securities.
• They said the utility faces an adverse regulatory climate in Illinois. On Thursday, the Illinois Commerce Commission rejected the integrated grid plans of Ameren Illinois and ComEd.
• The regulators approved returns on equity for both utilities that were less than requested. Those returns are below the national averages, according to KeyBanc.
