OraSure Technologies (NASDAQ:OSUR) said Friday that than unauthorized third party gained access to its data, but it believes the incident has now been contained.
The diagnostics maker disclosed the breach in an SEC filing late Friday, noting that it has contacted law enforcement and is investigating the matter with the assistance of cybersecurity experts. It added that it believes it was able to preserve the “integrity of its core financial and operational systems.”
OraSure said it was still investigating the extent of the sensitive information contained in the exfiltrated files. It added that its systems were operational and that it didn’t anticipate the incident having a material impact on the company's financial condition or operations.
