Chinese common prosperity, western governments angry at the company because of its sucess, competition trying to replicate their model..they have their reasons

More conflicts -> more diversions/re-routings and longer voyages (Cape of Good Hope instead of Red Sea was/is super bullish factor) > higher ton-mile demand and revenues -> better for shareholders, not opposite.

No it is not encouraging, this type of protectionist witchunt only serves to push up inflation. If the chinese are making it cheaper let them in. Consumers ahould not be subsidizing american manufacturers who cant compete.

As long as its the law, it's not a "loophole." The companies are following the law. And legislatures can always change the law.

Coupled with the fact they spent a fortune on Super Bowl ads. All of this costs REAL MONEY and not possible if fake.

@Muath87 Yes, but bear in mind that GSL is still benefiting from some very lucrative leases signed during the Covid supply crunch, when container rates were sky high. As those leases expire over the next year or two, its earnings are likely to fall significantly.

But I'm not saying it isn't still good value. It's one of my largest positions.

But you are dishonestly ignoring FSD, Robotaxis, Dojo and Optimus, any one of which has more profit potential than the EV business.

Disagree with your thesis in multiple levels. Government Motors sold 2(two) Hummer’s last quarter, so if they sell 3(three) this quarter, that means sales are up 50% for the quarter and competition is coming? Need to understand Tesla is a Technology company that just happens to make compelling EV’s. We will see Wednesday when the numbers come out.

The market is currently overreacting to most news, fanned by click hungry fin-media… cool headed realists will benefit LT. but the raging bull-bear battle is fairly evenly matched, hence the eye-watering volatility.

Absurd over-selling on this non-news, great chance to pick up a bargain now.
