@derMensch Check your math! Try a $200 BILLION+ company. It could work then, but probably just pieces, not the whole enchilada.

Long with covered calls--you get between 8 and 9% in a commission free IRA, not bad. Now using Jan 30s with an average stock price of $26.

Put up a list on the wall of all CEO-types that are eligible. Throw a dart and you'll hit somebody better than what they have had.

It all sounds good, but the stock is over 10% lower than it was a year ago. Who know knows , if they close the Straits of Hormuz for a month or two, the stock may go back to last year's level.

By your own statement the stock has done nothing for a decade. There is nothing on the company's horizon or the world oil market's horizon that make this stock a buy!

A decent tax-free bond using covered calls in a Roth. I see nothing here that makes me want to buy or sell.

CLF is dead money until the greater fool comes along and offers a takeover bid (hopefully above current price). LG is not the sharpest tool in the shed.

With the Shell merger, at best, on the back burner, and BP aggressively making more oil and gas deals in a world awash in those commodities, I see no reason to add to my rather small holdings. Looking to sell covered calls on any decent boost in price.

Several SA "analysts" have been repeating the story for years about CME's dividend be unsustainable. They have been 100% Wrong!

If CTRA is up tomorrow I'll be writing covered calls against it--The world's awash in oil from dozens of sources.

Own a few hundred shares (bought at $120) with covered calls (Jan 160s) in a commission-free IRA. Got paid just under $1100 for each call on day one. Come and get 'em!
