Visa Looks Compelling For 2023
by Geoff Considine

I have said this before but it bears repeating. V over the last decade + has either acquired or partnered with literally dozens & dozens of companies to keep their growth heading North. V operates in 200 countries & virtually everyone enjoys the great rewards & convenience that they receive from V. Plus they have no default risk as that goes to their banking partners. The next time your in line to check out at Walmart, Target, your grocery store, or where ever be “observant” as to how the masses pay for their goods. It might shock you that people do NOT write checks or pay cash anymore.

@WD216 "for a war we provoked" what the f$*k are you smoking? This is Putin and his sick puppets that created all of this death and carnage...and for what? To show the world how pathetic and inhumane their true army really is? Did you see the segment on 60 Minutes last night? The reporter was interviewing a widower...his wife and two young children were shot dead in their car by the Russian army while they were trying to flee their city in Ukraine, he had his leg shot off, but survived...so, let's see...tell me again how we provoked this?

Biggest issue is what new management plans to do to achieve profitability. For such a fundamental and pricey product as Splunk to be unprofitable is mind-boggling.

Cardinal Health: Little Price Appreciation Potential But Covered Calls Are Worth Considering
by Geoff Considine

@Geoff Considine That worked well! Even with the pop, 8% or so in a few weeks is a nice return. I'd close the position to put the money elsewhere, but even with no time value on the call, the spread is still big, I guess since it's so far out.

Little Conviction And Lots Of Uncertainty On Nucor

@Geoff Considine Nucor recycles scrap and melts it in electric arc furnaces. This recent study shows this process to be lowest in GHG. Relative to other competitors, the source of electricity is the next determinate. Nucor has a good-sized plant in western NY that has a very low footprint due to high renewable energy use.www.prnewswire.com/...

Income Investors Should Consider T. Rowe Price

@dgi123
Well I'm afraid that's correct as the analyst consensus growth rates have been revised down dramatically in just a few short weeks. This is also the reason for the sharp drop in the price of the share.FAST Graphs shows EPS growth of -6% for 2022, +4% for 2023 and again -3% for 2024. So -5% for 3 years, based on S&P and FactSet.FactSet long term consensus growth rate is only 2.8%.S&P Global Markets IQ 5 year consensus growth rate is only a similar 2.3%.Refinitiv 5-year consensus growth rate is only a similar 3.8%.Management expects net flows for 2022 to be below its long-term 1-3% growth target. Over time, the company expects net flows to return to a positive territory as it continues pursuing strategic initiatives to bolster investment competencies, amplify its distribution reach and strengthen client partnerships.FinViz's EPS next 5y 12.20%. No indication of who is the data supplier here, but that seems to be the previous uncorrected data.The reason for the sharp revision in T. Rowe Price's earnings growth is that the business continues to suffer from rising costs.But I see it very positively, because expectations that are too low hold a considerable potential for future surprises that is just as positive. That's why I keep investing in $TROW. The upward magic of a high margin of safety.

Skip QYLD And Sell Covered Calls On QQQ Yourself

I don't understand the people saying they don't have the time to sell calls on QQQ as per the author's strategy. It's a once a year trade that takes 30 seconds. QYLD is a product for newbs who don't know what "total returns" means.

SPY: Market-Implied Outlooks For The S&P 500 For The Next 12 Months

@halibuts Why waste your time responding to such comments? When the word "prediction" is used in their response comment that alone tells you that they don't have a clue regarding the meaning of "market-implied" and certainly don't grasp the takeaway of the article much less the concept of probable outcomes.
