- Los Angeles Angels owner Arte Moreno has emerged as another possibility in the auction of the Fox (FOX -0.2%, FOXA -0.1%) regional sports networks, with an interest in as many as four of the RSN, Fox Business says.
- Moreno's interest came up at the Major League Baseball owners' meeting, Fox Business says.
- He's said to be willing to pay around $2B for four RSNs, reportedly around the willing rate. Disney (DIS -1.6%), forced to divest the RSNs as part of its $71B media-asset deal with Fox, had been hoping to receive $20B for the networks (an average of nearly a billion dollars for each).
- Meanwhile, two other team owners are already reportedly linked in a bid: Atlanta Braves owner Liberty Media (FWONA -0.2%, BATRA +1.1%) and Minnesota Twins owner Jim Pohlad have apparently teamed up.
