@Bgraham75 Deviation between actual and per-share is always a possibility on every report, because of the added factor of share count changes

It looks like you are questioning editors for reporting a 5.4% total increase that you are saying is only a 5.1% increase on a per-share basis (actually 3.6%); these don't look wildly divergent

@Naysay Analysis Long-term debt at $14.6B, but net debt accounts for liquidity and they have a few billion in cash and other short-term.

@424270 Maybe so. Seems like lots of questions to be settled -- probably at next earnings. Though chatter is that a name to lead the project is close.

Disney expecting to pay Comcast $8.61B by Dec. 1 for rest of Hulu by Jason Aycock, SA News Editor
Jason Aycock, SA News Editor
@brf69 Folks -- some help with making sense of this:

@LAND Man21 This headline does NOT say they are "only" paying $8.61B -- but it is making clear that *Disney is saying they are paying $8.61B.* It doesn't say what Comcast said at that time, so obviously a lot of room for ambiguity left to sort out, as the item makes clear.

@brf69 For those who want a headline to say "at least" $8.61B -- that is the least newsy part here, as that is the floor value the two companies agreed to more than four years ago. So of course they will pay "at least" $8.61B -- *assuming the deal goes forward with Disney buying out Comcast.* That is the real news here, that Comcast and Disney didn't up and decide that Comcast would buy all of Hulu instead ... Disney will make a payment this month, and the two will start prep for divesting the financial interest and sorting out the final number changing hands.

@HPBunker You are right that it's wrong. After reviewing, in the item I've corrected a transcript error that called those billions rather than "hundred million" (off by a factor of 10)

@wboz "Over-the-top" services have become synonymous with "direct to consumer," so they are talking about an ESPN focused on streaming like Disney+, rather than through the cable bundle.

@Jason Aycock Updating on this: If you sign up for alerts you're supposed to get *a* copy of a story, but in the case of this story it mailed new alerts every time I added updated information ... which was often, for this live event.
We are trying to sort out what went awry but it wasn't on purpose and sorry for the too-many alerts.

Hardware drives videogame industry sales to best gain since late 2021 by Jason Aycock, SA News Editor
Jason Aycock, SA News Editor
@GameBuzz

OK. For what it's worth, the Seeking Alpha news team editors (the side I work on) do not take positions pro or con a stock -- while the articles side (like an editorial section) most definitely does.

For sure, the top 10 games in sales would be easier to parse if it were in a table format rather than the narrative format I needed to use above.

You helped introduce an interesting discussion point, which is that a focal point for TTWO analysts in recent months has been the schedule slowdown. See seekingalpha.com/...

Take-Two's NBA game came out a while back, so it has ceded some sales strength (especially lately) to EA, with 'Madden' and 'FIFA.'
