Tesla: Sentiment Is Telling A Story - Are You Listening? (Technical Analysis)
by Stock Waves

Avi Gilburt
@VulpineMac You are missing the point. It is not the age of the company that determines the pattern . . . rather, it is the sentiment of the investor block. And, since the biology of the human mind has not changed in thousands of years, then these patterns will continue to provide a strong probabilistic glimpse into the future.

Wise Stock Is Better Than PayPal
by Brad Thomas

Wolf Report
@Sane Man Hey! Wise would potentially be a takeover target - it really would depend on what the founder/s intended with their company. If they have an IRR target for their investment, and the right offer came along, I'm sure they might be tempted to take that payout and leave the keys on the table. If on the other hand, Mr. Kaarmann is an empire builder that won't be selling, that would mean the company could take a different direction entirely.I personally don't know at this point which way this would go. If the company would get bought out, I believe conceivable buyers would be Fintech companies in a larger position. Wise doesn't hold any significant advantages, aside from the integration In its various markets - but no unique technology or anything like that. It's an interesting question, and one that I'll see if i can keep track of as i/we write more articles on Wise :).

Where Will Alibaba's Stock Be In 10 Years? Much Higher If China's Negative Influence Recedes
by Bill Zettler

Now would be the worst time to consider investing directly in Chinese equities. There's far too much political uncertainty and geopolitical tensions to deal with. Throw in a complete lack of transparency and ingrained corruption and you've got a recipe for very poor returns. Potential in this case doesn't equate to strong investment returns.

I sit corrected. I didn't see PIPE investors listed as "holders" in the lock-up agreement and I sorta stopped looking. The subscription agreement says they are not subject to a lock up

Nano One: Going Viral

@stewman VW has big stake in QS. Nano One is working with VW. Nano One's HV spinel (LNMO) has low expansion on charge/discharge making it ideal for solid state batteries. QS is into solid state batteries...And, the last thing, Nano One has recently released data showing HV spinel (with Nano One's coating) works with liquid electrolytes as well as with solid ones.Ye, QS battery day could be very interesting.

"Don't you think the pendulum will swing the other way?"No.It was bound to happen - homo homini lupus. The varnish of what was once known as civilisation has already been lapped down to single atom layer thickness in many places.

Carvana: A Short-Seller's Dream
by Bill Maurer

cluebert
@Bill Maurer Come on guys.. I'm trading just 3 years & have learned.. there is more to it than valuations.Carvana is a SCAM.And like any good scam, it uses both longs & short sellers as pawns in it's game.First: the float is controlled. It won't go up or down unless those controlling the float want it to.Apparently it's enough of a textbook scam for all these institutional investors to know it's a scam & to play along.Garcia family privately owns drivetime. Drivetime gives Carvana favorable terms for their rents. Also they own a financing company providing loans at favorable terms... we don't know if those loans are profitable for the financing company... they could easily not be profitable to the private company, while the public company gets the benefit. It uses that benefit to provide an ocean of liquidity that Garcia & family can sell into.. as they have been doing almost every day for a while.So... why would institutional investors be holding while Garcia robs them slowly?Maybe because they know we are not yet at the end game... My fear is the end game here is that Carvana is somehow hiding float / obfuscating the float.. and they go and get CVNA into the FTSE Russell index. Check out the tickers on LFIN and INNT and SIEB for examples of what happens when FTSE Russell gets the float wrong. Instant & automatic 4x valuations...So.. be careful here. I'm short & trapped. Don't be like me!

CalculusThose measly little interest payments are not going to be much comfort when the shares implode. When the financial folks start bailing out that is a sure sign you need to do the same. Why not sell your shares locking in the gains, and replace the shares with some long-dated out-of-the-money call options? That way your profits are secure and you can still enjoy some upside. But if the stock tanks all you lose is the price of the options unless you can dump them off to another bull who believes in fairytale endings.
